BART DOYLE, Attorney

Mr. Doyle is an attorney specializing in real estate, land use, and environmental law. Long active in building industry affairs, he is immediate past President of the Building Industry Association Los Angeles County East Chapter, and a Director of the Building Industry Legal Defense Foundation. He served as General Counsel to the Building Industry Association of Southern California from 1988 to 1993 and later worked in the Los Angeles office of Brobeck, Phleger and Harrison for four years. Prior to being termed out of office in April 2004, Bart was Mayor of the City of Sierra Madre, President of the San Gabriel Valley Council of Governments, and an active participant on the Community Housing and Economic Development Committee of the Southern California Association of Governments. He is currently a member of the Metropolitan Transportation Authority’s San Gabriel Valley Service Sector Council, and also serves on the Board of the San Gabriel Valley Economic Partnership. Bart received an A.B. from Brown University and a J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh. He is a 1999 graduate of the CORO Foundation’s Leadership Southern California program. In 2003, the Los Angeles Section of the American Planning Association awarded him the organization’s Distinguished Leadership Award for his efforts to foster comprehensive planning and housing production in the San Gabriel Valley. Additionally, he was recently named a Fellow of the Rose Institute of State and Local Government at Claremont-McKenna College. |
