Rich Roche has been AT&T’s Director of External Affairs since 1997, for most of the San Gabriel Valley and portions of the San Fernando Valley. In his position, Rich, a thirty year veteran of AT&T, works closely with local community groups as well as area chambers of commerce. Currently, Rich is the Chair of the Verdugo Workforce Investment Board, the President of the South Pasadena Chamber of Commerce and Immediate Past President the Glendale Chamber of Commerce. Additionally, Rich was named the “Man of the Year” for 2010 by the Glendale Latino Association. He is also past Chair of the Burbank and Pasadena Chambers of Commerce, and actively participates on the boards of the following organizations; Glendale College Foundation, Glendale Education Foundation, Institute for the Redesign of Learning, Pasadena Educational Foundation’s Business Advisory Board, South Pasadena Chamber of Commerce and Glendale Association for the Retard’s Business Advisory Board. Rich joined External Affairs after seven years as a business manager in the Statewide Marketing Directory Unit for Pacific Bell, in which he served as liaison with Pacific Bell Directory and various Yellow Pages publishers. He began his career with Pacific Bell in telephone service installation and repair, moving on to test boards, and product marketing. He has also held numerous positions in product development, regulatory, training, and various support management teams within AT&T. Mr. Roche earned a degree in economics from Occidental College. He lives in South Pasadena with his wife, Claire and their two daughters; Katie and Meghan. |
