The San Gabriel Valley Economic Partnership is a regional, not-for-profit corporation committed to the continued successful economic development of the San Gabriel Valley. A collaboration of business, local government, colleges and universities, the Partnership pursues this commitment through three key principles.

To preserve and enhance the quality of life
and the economic vitality of the San Gabriel Valley.
Guiding Principles
The following are the guiding principles by which the Partnership implements its mission:
Assist Business: The Partnership provides professional assistance to companies locating and expanding in the San Gabriel Valley while working proactively to retain existing employers.
- Provide business to business connections
- Facilitate problem solving between business and government agencies
- Provide economic and demographic information
- Provide business access to the resources of the San Gabriel Valley
- Partner with the Los Angeles Economic Development Corporation to provide personal and confidential business assistance
- Identify and share business opportunities
Advocate Public Policy: The Partnership advocates public policies that create and sustain high quality in a region that is globally competitive.
- Support legislation and public policies that advance our mission
- Provide forums for the discussion of issues of importance to the region
- Communicate information and ideas that enhance the region’s understanding of important issues
Market the San Gabriel Valley: The Partnership works to create an image of the San Gabriel Valley as a region of innovation and opportunity enjoying a strategic location, diverse economic base, skilled workforce, comprehensive educational resources and high quality of life.

- Produce events that highlight the success and benefits of business investment in the region
- Recognize and celebrate excellence and achievement in business and public institutions

The San Gabriel Valley is home to 30 individual chambers of commerce representing their communities.

San Gabriel Valley Council of Governments:

Comprised of elected officials from 29 communities, SGVCOG faces planning issues regarding transportation, air quality and economic development. Each of the elected bodies of these cities also contends with additional local issues and welcomes the participation and interest of its constituents.

Incentives:

The majority of San Gabriel Valley cities offer some form of incentives to new businesses including: industrial development bonds; land, acquisition or construction subsidies; lease or tenant improvement subsidies; business license tax waivers or reductions; property tax reimbursements; utility tax discounts; and financial relocation assistance.
